” … and I would walk 500 more … “
da lat da … da lat da
altbough for the record I’d rather not if I didn’t have to. 160 or so possibly to go and no probs with stopping then… but … 1000 miles up… yep, a dime or a stack (if you’re of an American gambling persuasion)… or just simply M. I guess it stands (slightly swaying) for something .. and tomorrow will bring up MI, MII,… and I’ll start dreaming of motorways again
weren’t the lyrics also about falling down at the door? How did those boys know??
the Very Good News today comes from our MASH correspondent who can report that Becca’s feet + shoes + socks latest combo (version 19) seems to be working fine… post-walk forensic investigations confirm initial diagnosis and all looks set fair for tomorrow (including meteorologically).
Today was another Canal and Loch walk… we had the option of a Low Route or a High, the latter being only about a mile and 1000 foot of ascent longer… it did promise breathtaking views (which the summit push itself provided) so of course….
We got past Loch Oich to get to Loch Ness and in case you’ve never seen it this is how beautiful it is… quite stunning. And if you were also wondering how big the monster is Becca can tell you
We bumped into an Anglo-Finnish couple and spent a very comfortable couple of hours with them on and off trail : on the whisky front Becca recommends Talisker 10 yo but not so much the Bunnahabhain 12 yo it seems – something about it being in the wrong quadrant on the smoky / dark 2×2 matrix…. further research to be conducted.
Milestone of the day : 1000 miles
Stroll on ?

So a pretty good day, a Major Milestone (be thankful it was k not M), and a good outlook for MASH and met. Set fair for a strong finish we hope.
