Pre-amble Preamble
The Land’s End to John O’Groats ‘bit of a stroll’ start day is not very far … in contrast to the walk itself which, it is gradually dawning on me, is really quite really quite far…. always been quick on the uptake me.
Becca and I have been doing plenty of training walks with our full packs … for those who are interested our basic rule with the packs is no more than 3 of any item of clothing and so we are keeping the weight down to about 25 or 30 lbs… that water weighs a lot doesn’t it.
We have been very touched by peoples’ interest and support … and amused by their amusement too. There seems to be a general theme of ‘nasty Paul really should allow lovely Becca to have a rest day every now and again’ … sounds like a conspiracy to me. Next thing you know we’ll be stopping to admire the view or somesuch conchie talk.
This website, courtesy of David ‘Doc’ Watson to whom we are deeply indebted, will be regularly updated (technology and competence permitting) with random updates for ongoing amusement and bewilderment and you’ll be able to follow our (lack of) progress.
And of course we’d be delighted to see you en route should you wish at any point … we do promise to regularly shower.

Love
Paul and Becca

Here you go guys. Use the link to listen to a gentle ditty to set you on your way. Sure to find a few more morale boosting items to help your cause as the weeks, and blisters progress.

Here you go. Not very original but the chorus could help keep you going when it gets a bit rough. Am thinking of investing in Dr. Schols as I am sure their foot soak, blistereeze etc products will be flying off the shelf. Keep on keeping on. As Winston Churchill said, blah blah blah, but it is the end of the beginning. Wet stuff still on your left I hope.
