New trails … and old ways

Another day on the West Highland Way… and the best day’s company yet. Of course Becca is back on the trail and we were joined mid-stroll by not only the Wee Yin but his missus too. The scenery, nioe back in Argyll and Bute, continues to be wonderful

And

I felt that joining in with the locals would be appreciated so yesterday I had my part in a Highland fling… unbeknownst to me what it entailed was a running race along 53 miles of the WHW. I got to high-five various and was tucking into the pit stop goodies until someone somehow twigged that I didn’t quite seem to fit the runners’ bill (or bib,… well, over-filled it really).

We are, regrettably, back to some old ways. We have a BBS again: Becca’s feet are a mess once more. Mrs Wee Yin is a nurse and there’s been consultations and zinc oxide tape (post blister-bursting) is to be applied. Watch this space for further MASH updates…..

anyhow we’ve made it as scheduled to Bridge of Orc-y (can’t see Saruman… but there is some misshaped creature at the bar in front of me cradling something and muttering “my preccciousssss”).  Fingers crossed all will be well for a fairly long stretch to Kinlochleven tomorrow.

Stroll on ?
