The ups and downs of coast path walking ..
I ought to say straight away that I mean that topographically, not romantically… Yep, these picturesque fishing hamlets nestled in snug little bays must be such fun to visit in a car … or even bus … Has anyone ever seen someone whose legs are suited to the height and gait of the steps that are placed on the vertiginous slopes (allegedly for our benefit) or is this all part of some National Trust/English Heritage private Candid Camera jape? A pressing and increasingly topical question that needs an answer
That aside aside we can report that after yesterday’s ‘nice but a bit too warm and sunny’ weather we had it about perfect today; climactic conditions conducive to my crimson-cheeked companion (I had miles to work on that one)… And people we should talk about people cos frankly the advantages of these types of walks include the fact that you can often go ages not meeting anyone (makes my curmudgeonly heart soar) and when you do they are almost invariably really very really nice people really. First chaps we spoke to came from all of 40 miles away from the village (ooh, isn’t it a small world) and today’s contingent included several doing the SWCP for various reasons and Margaret out with Sophie and Clare her surrogate daughters. Kindred spirits one and all that help re-affirm and keep everything in perspective … whilst of course admiring the perspective.
(Upcoming Rant: the exception to this is those idiots who as you are toiling up a mountainside are soooo keen to tell you as they descend that is still a very long way to go and gets harder soon … Give me just a couple of hours on the hills with any of them for a laugh)
Calm again… As we are tonight in a locale that boasts more houses than you can count with one hand we are diversifying our dietary intake
42000 of them today
Stroll on ….

The hedgehogs sound delicious – how many did you each get down ya….Special request – if you come across any extra extra large yummy, scrumptious LOBSTERS – please tag them along so we can do a swopsie when we meet up..CLEAN PANTS & SOCKS for LOBSTERS…mmmm…
Hope the weather hangs in there – and the ants go marching on – left right left right… ; )
Lotsa love and Hugs,
Jen & Dee xxx
Still bucketing down here – we march onwards through storms and under waterfalls regardless. Soggy sandwiches eaten in true Brit style.

Today’s little tune is to help you to get Becka to open her legs. All the better to gain vertiginous elevation that is. All looking-sounding good this end of the blogs. Just kept on keeping on.
