The King is alive and well ….
sometimes some people ask why we do this long distance walking thing … Well, not so much sometimes as pretty much every time… And not so much some people as many I guess … Ok, probably most … If not all….. ANYWAY … Today was one of those glorious sunny but not too hot days when it was an absolute delight – the gulls were a-swooping, the grasses were a-blowin’ in the wind (man) … Here’s one of today’s typical views
That sand’s a bugger to walk on mind.
And today was a flora and fauna discussion – wild garlic or white bluebells? And we passed an adder breeding sanctuary (where you add an adder to an adder presumably) and I got educated on MAMILs (being a MAMNIL).
2 days and a further 33,000 steps in and all good so far – thanks to the ever invaluable assistance from Doc the Strava route stuff is now there to see (of course where it seems to indicate we were wandering around in circles that’s clearly a GPS calibration issue)
land the titular King? Well, as I know many readers are crazy cats who like to ‘go’ whether attired in blue suede shoes or no you’ll be glad to learn …
.. I understand he charges one for the money …
stroll on….

Sounds like you have experienced an amazing couple of days..Seriously I would love to be able to do something like this -one day hey!! ..Just clears the mind totally of the “norm” whatever that is! I hope the rest places and watering holes have been great so far..Look out for any interesting animal experiences – that does not mean human’s either…
There were one trillion blue bottles on the wall when one decided to get the wobbles and fall off and then there were…Hope you have the iPods loaded with some cool tunes to listen to…or is it Paul providing the entertainment ; )….
Love,
Jen xx
Well by jimmeny youve gone and started without us!!!!!
Hope the blisters stay away and that the weather is fair not foul!
Bit worried about your discussion re wild garlic and white blue bells !
Hope you know that wild garlic would look beautiful in a wedding bouquet
but would stink to death of onions!!!!
Keep on trucking guys and may the force or even a pint be with you xx
Judy and Nigel ( Box Hedge)
So glad you have the weather on your side – long may it stay so – it’s chucking it down here!

Today’s morale boosting ditty is a warning. My tent was covered in the stuff one time when camping in the Brecons. Glad to hear the weather gods are smiling on you and progress is as per.
Re “The King”. Some sad news, my pet mouse Elvis died last week.
He was caught in a trap.
Glad to see you guys are coming along so well and enjoying it. Keep it up. 🙂
Good luck to you both. Two months with three clothing changes is right up Paul’s alley, not sure about Becca.
Probably Allium triquetrum – the three cornered leek.
