The Big Questions … Answered … Here

Bring on Paxo we don’t shirk the questions, like The Day Today (with equally fancy graphics) we tackle the hard issues, right here, right now.

Getting right down to the nub of The Big Padstow Question #1 … Well, avid keen-eyed route watchers will already know … When it comes to the decision between pragmatic and purist, whether to be poetic or prosaic what do you do? Take the Padstow ferry across to Rock (and thence to Splatt (really!)) for that 3 mins … or … walk 5 miles to Wadebridge. Senor Strava (the fancy graphic) will confirm that we did the latter – we will walk every metre.

The warm up to this was crossing the Gannel yesterday – boots and socks off. Those who know me well will know that this is A Big Thing for me (cripes, the water easily nearly reached my ankle, although admittedly not for the whole of the near two minute crossing) – battle hardened us.

On such matters: Breaking News – we had a BBS (Becca Blister Scenario), a couple of days ago, sharp needle in hot water and the Breaking News was a Broken Blister. I helped manfully by carefully inspecting a ceiling tile. All now seems well, under control and under Compeed. Nothing to report on PBS yet

The Big Padstow Question #2 is of course whether we’ll be going to Rick’s ‘Shack’ for some fancy pickled eggs and gherkins – course we shall, wouldn’t turn away two lovelies like us after 85 miles would they? (Yep, I’ll let Becca go in first)
