One Way or another
Props to O’Connors for most social crowd and barman. And best Mixed Grill. I don’t know if the accent is thinning or Guinness has translation properties given enough of it but we engaged in two-way repartee. I could easily deduce the three key areas of conversation: a) Brexit; b) Brexit and c) Brexit. Liam seemed to want to hold me accountable (he was I noticed the only one of 8 drinking lager). Most of them had worked in London (amazing huh) so they had a perspective. One chap was obviously successful as he had 500 men under him. Worked at Highgate cemetery
my guidebook helpfully kept pointing out how there were good views from the hilltops
Although there was one sign that could be easily read and always gladdens a long-distance walkers’ heart
So whilst it was wet it was flat and straight for a while. It was a day at least for a couple of milestones:
Milestone Of The Day (MOTD) 1 – one Way or another… have finished the Wicklow Way (and before it finished me) … onto South Leinster Way tomorrow
MOTD2 – into third county, Carlow following Wicklow and Dublin
On the sporting front it’s obviously clear to everyone that whilst here Arsenal played 2 won 2 goals conceded 0 …. I need to carry on playing my part
Stroll ?on

By sheer coincidence a number of people here have been wanting to engage us on Brexit – now that’s what I’d call a coincidence – hope the weather improves for you – Cheers Andy
It’s called soft (weather – not Brexit) – hope you have enough socks to carry you through. Xx
Soft and softer … as for socks, no worries, I’ve got both pairs I need for the 400 miles…
