Every picture tells a story
The shin is still splinted (stings a bit etc… thanks for all the sympathy and sound advice fellas ?) … but chez Andy and Mary great and generous hospitality has provided some balm for the soul… oh, and more than a little rehydration therapy. More necessary rest regrettably tomorrow.

So, you idle layabouts, you decided to ignore my remedies and have taken the advice of some charlatan quacks. I still expect my bill to be paid tho’. Subsequent to my initial diagnoses I have been in contact with my erstwhile colleague Doctor Strabismus ( whom God preserve) of Utrecht**
He has invented a sure fire cure and aid for shin splints. Consists of a pair of insulated wellingtons 2 sizes too big in to which you shovel as much ice as you can before sealing the tops. On the underside of the boots are fitted 3 patented coil springs ( ignore the fact it says Sleepeezee on them, manufactures cock up ). The result is a much gentler downward pressure on the leg and an assist when recovering as the spring bounces back. They come in three Spring strengths, BOING 707 the classic original, BOING 737 for short distance walking and BOING 747 for the dedicated hiker. Please let me know your required size and colour. They come in chartreuse, shocking pink, and fluorescent yellow for night time walking. Black now discontinued. I can offer a discount on the already rediculous price. Just send me all your bank details, household utility bills and passport and I will instruct my Nigerian bank to finalise the transaction.
** Name the comedian and show and you will get an even bigger discount. This is a limited time offer, so don’t delay. Ts & Cs apply.
More bad news. We had just finished erecting our new strap line ” Pur a spring in your step” over the entrance to the SSA boot factory. It was a tasteful pink and yellow set of LEDs in the shape of a fenshui designed boot. The nice policemen who arrived and closed the factory said the lights had gone missing from a shipment intended for Blackpool illuminations. The good news is we have an offer from Apple to take over the premises for production of their new ( as yet unannounced ) personal robocop iPlod.
As per previous correspondence there is a bottle of vodka at stake for guessing today’s poptastic morale boosting disinterred 331/3.
